The research explores how individuals with hearing impairments access sign language in these domains, relying on data from media interviews, news bulletins, and personal observations. The findings reveal limited access to sign language in these critical areas, highlighting the need to integrate sign language training for professionals in their respective fields. From the data presented in this paper, we conclude that sign language integration in different fields examined, promotes inclusivity and enhance everyday communication for the deaf community in Lagos.

Keywords: sign language; deaf community; accessibility, Lagos.

Kenneth E.
